A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday September 18th from 2-4pm at the McEachnie Funeral Home( 28 Old Kingston rd., Ajax |Ontario L1T 2Z7). He died on September 13th, 2022 in Ajax Ontario of cancer. He enjoyed listening to classical music, learning more about space and was an expert on history. He was a very friendly man who loved engaging in conversation with everyone he met and always had a story to tell. Guenther remained connected with his family in Germany and leaves behind his sister and four nieces and three nephews. He spent most of his career at IBM Canada where he retired in 1994. Throughout his life, Guenther enjoyed sailing, wind surfing, home renovations and taking care of his family. He always enjoyed visiting and having conversations with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as he cared for them deeply. Later, Guenther become a grandfather to Laura and Scott and eventually great-grandfather to Tristan, Lillian, Celeste and Elena. He immigrated to Canada in 1966 as a young mechanical engineer where he met and married Margaret, his wife of 51 years, and became a step-father to Erica and a father-in-law to Leslie. They literally believe, in some sense, that the. He was raised in Hamburg, Germany with his sister Irmgard and his brothers Karl-Ludwig and Manfred. Therefore, you’ll find them resistant to engaging in debate because they fully believe that engaging in debate or other kinds of conversation forces them to do their work in a system that has been rigged so that they cannot possibly win, no matter how well they do.
